The house dessert
Homemade tiramisù, the Treviso way
Coffee, eggs, sugar, mascarpone and ladyfingers. No cream, no liqueur, no gelatine. We make it the day before, because it needs a full night in the cold.
Two versions
Classic and pistachio
- Classic tiramisùQ35
- Pistachio tiramisùQ45
The classic is the Treviso one: strong cold espresso, ladyfingers dipped one second per side, mascarpone cream and cocoa. The pistachio one is homemade with pistachio cream, which you can also buy in a 250 g jar to take home.
Tiramisù means «lift me up» in Venetian dialect. A name that comes with instructions.
Why ours tastes different
The recipe the Italian Academy of Cuisine registered before a notary: five ingredients and no shortcuts.
The ladyfinger is dipped, not drowned. Too much coffee and it collapses; too little and it stays dry.
The coffee that reaches Italy after an ocean grows on the mountain across the road.
Made the day before so the layers can settle. There is no such thing as a rushed tiramisù.
